Home / The Villa
The estateTanit is a private hilltop estate where refined design meets the wild beauty of the Nicoya Peninsula — built, from the ground up, for groups of up to twelve.
Perched on 3.7 acres of jungle-fringed hillside, Tanit Villa was conceived as a single home where a whole party could gather without ever feeling on top of one another. Open-plan living spaces flow onto shaded terraces; five generous suites give everyone their own retreat at the end of the day.
Floor-to-ceiling glass frames the Pacific to the west, so the house moves with the light — bright and breezy by morning, gold and pink as the sun drops into the ocean each evening.

The heart of Tanit is open-plan and indoor–outdoor — a great room that folds open to the deck, a kitchen built for a crowd, and a terrace made for long evenings.

A soaring great room sits at the centre of the house, framed by floor-to-ceiling glass and opening fully onto the terrace. Sink into the sofas, gather around the long table, and let the indoors and the Pacific blur into one.

A full chef's kitchen — gas range, generous stone counters and island seating — ready for the whole group to cook together, or for a private chef to take over while you relax on the deck.

The covered deck is the social heart of the estate — alfresco dining for twelve, lounges and hammocks, and a front-row seat to the sunset over the ocean each evening.
A few minutes inside the gates — the pool, the living spaces, the suites and the views.
The estate is wrapped in more than a hectare of mature tropical gardens, home to over a hundred fruit trees — mango, banana, citrus and more, many of which find their way to your breakfast table. Winding paths connect the pool deck, hammock groves, an outdoor yoga corner and quiet corners made for a morning coffee. Howler monkeys move through the canopy and tropical birds fill the mornings — watching the wildlife from the deck is a recurring delight in guest reviews.
At the centre sits an 18-metre saltwater pool, flanked by sun loungers and an alfresco dining area with a BBQ grill — the natural gravity of the whole property.

Hosts JC and Vincent and their on-site team look after every stay — something guests mention again and again, from the daily housekeeping to a fridge stocked with your groceries before you even arrive.
JC and Vincent and the property managers are your point of contact throughout — quick to respond, well connected locally, and happy to arrange restaurant bookings, tours and anything else the group needs.
A dedicated housekeeping team cleans and tidies the villa every single day — beds, bathrooms and living spaces refreshed — so the house stays as pristine as the moment you arrived. It's the detail guests single out most.
